Hackpen Hill And the Close of 2012 Crop Circle Season

Hackpen Hill Crop Circle 2012
Hackpen Hill

Just as we thought the crop circle season had come to an end the wonderful cube appeared at Hackpen under the chalk white horse. Legend has it that we have to be careful of the faery folk who at full moon at certain times of year bewitch unsuspecting people to join them and share in their music and revelry inside the hill.

This whole area between Marlborough and Swindon is a magical area much beloved by the Knight’s Templars of old.

How will we look back at this year, I wonder? Did we expect too much of 2012?

Certainly there were some spectacular formations, the multidimensional event at Liddington and Flower of Life at Waden Hill are two that spring to mind. But to me the Cheesefoot Head `Labyrinth` was the star performer encapsulating the theme of the Olympics, Para Olympics and on a broader scale the hopes of peace in the world through greater communication and understanding not just of ourselves but of everyone with whom we share this planet; our hopes, our aspirations.

I have met some wonderful people this year in and around the crop circle community who have given me a greater and wider view and hopefully a deeper understanding of others. I am grateful to them. Nothing ever happens by chance, there are no co-incidences. Doors open and we must not miss the chance to go through them.

Maybe the hardest thing to grasp is that we are all part of each other and that we have chosen to come back and agreed to face the problems and circumstances we find in this present incarnation. We saw and agreed the text before we came back but the problem is that as soon as we arrive we can no longer see that text, it has been wiped clean. I believe we come down as individuals with our group souls. Some of the people with whom we have the most difficulties may indeed be part of our group and we have come together to teach each other lessons we needed to learn.

Back to mundane matters!!

I will be writing up my research when all the results come through and have been analysed.

  1. Thank you, Lucy, for your interesting news and magnificent photographs!

“The Cube” is thought-provoking, to say the least.

This summer I bought your gorgeous book, “Art in The Landscape.” Absolutely beautiful!

My mission this winter is to TRY to educate those around me. It’s challenging.

    Sincerely, Barbie Ann

  2. The cube is an interesting development of the crop circle phenomenon, how are you going to educate, and who! Art in the landscape is just that. Graffiti in the corn!

  3. I’ve been trying to draw people’s attention to crop circles all summer and they do sometimes check out wccsg or crop circle connector but end up being at a loss. The crop circles are beautiful, intriguing but they’ve been coming for years and their meaning is still not clear.
What makes it more difficult is the fact that there are definitely man made circles arriving now and the makers, according to something I think I read in the Metro, while saying they make them won’t say which ones .A power game obviously but it gets in the way. However there were some pretty ropey circles this year so are those fakes?I saw some fantastic man made snow circles in the Metro. They were as intricate and as beautiful as some of the best crop circles so perhaps some of the really well made crop circles are man made too. What about Laura, the heart and last year the pipe man and the alien face?I came across some info on the web in which it was stated that researchers had managed to make first rate crop circles. For me,the value of crop circles is in the possibilty that they are messages from beings from another world or dimension.I’m finding the growing possibility of them being human made depressing.

    1. I am sad you feel depressed. Yet I can relate, as I too, having been in love and wonder-filled drew back and felt ‘hung-over’ following no real ‘conclusion’ after years of the phenomena and visiting them myself. Words that come up re crop circles are words like ‘cynicism, hoaxers, deception’. Yet, this year
I am refreshed by photos of this art. This year I have been touched again. Deeply. And that is enough.
Lucy refers to a deeper meaning to the crop circles in the text above, and I deepen and widen my learning and perspective on the whole phenomena, as expressions of Sophia each passing year. At some level, we know that what is happening is ‘true’. My heart jumps at the biggest most majestic. I trust my first response.

Lucy´s words only touch the surface of the wonder and mystery of our nurturance by this body, soul, spirit that is Earth, that is US (which includes human made efforts)and is the work we are invited on. Gratefully, Joe.

      1. “At some level, we know that what is happening is ‘true’. My heart jumps at the biggest most majestic. I trust my first response.”

My heart feels the powerful, over-ridign ‘benign-ness’ of the crop circles. I feel my full child-hood in the divine Sophia.

  5. Lucy, the timing of this connection and your email for me couldn’t be more perfect. At first sight, this “cube” appeared to me as a flat-planed “six-sided” figure; then unscrambling the Escheresque feeling (in the blink of an eye and focus) the 3D cube came. All this the immediate context (right now at this early morn hour in Ithaca NY) of some very intriguing reading I’ve fallen into…which references “The Gutenberg Galaxy” (McLuhan 1963). All too fresh and exciting to say more about. Only that the modern phrase “the medium is the message” McLuhan had coined…

    The story still unfolds!
